PATROL PHONES
Updated 31/1/08

All Patrols should now have installed there new Nokia 6233 and CK-7W hand free phone kit, if you haven't contact your Team Manager.

Below is a list of common answers to questions, which have been raised since the fit out of the new phones. Hopefully the information below will help you use and understand your phone a little better.

Car Kit Use
For the unit to function it must be turned on by using the MW800 main power switch.

To 'pair' the unit to the phone via bluetooth, this will allow the phone to work with the car kit even if the phone is not in the cradle, try the following:
  1. Ensure the main power switch of the kit and the phone is turned on.
  2. Remove the phone from the cradle, Go to Menu, Settings, Connectivity, Bluetooth, make sure bluetooth is on and the phones visibility is hidden, search for audio enhanc., the phone will search and find Nokia CK-7W, pair the device, the phone will then ask for a passcode, this is 0000, select auto-conn without conf. Once paired - to active it, go through the menu options again, select paired devices and connect. Note - The car kit will only connect to one compatible mobile at a time.
  3. If the phone is out of the cradle and the MW800 master switch turned on the car kit will do a 30 second search auto search of the phone it was last paired with, any active search is indicated by the flashing light on the remote control button. Remember the phone must be out of the cradle for this to happen and once connected will display a small car in the top of the phone display. Once you place the phone back in the cradle the bluetooth connection will be lost.

This feature will vary depending on background noise.
